Grief, Hope, Commitment

With a sadness that defies words, and the eternal hope for a better world, we at Fellowships share in the profound grief today that the senseless violence and killings have created in Baton Rough, Minneapolis and Dallas.

Our country and the world are moving through a time of great upheaval. The scars, wounds of fear, hatred, separateness, racism and inequality are ripping apart the soul of our humanity.

Let’s join together in a fresh commitment as individuals and collectively to be the light and shed the light wherever we are. In the words of Mother Teresa, “We can do no great things, only small things with great love.” From the back streets of Calcutta, one small woman changed the lives of millions and showed us what one person can do.

In this time of tragedy, let us renew our resolve individually and collectively to do what we can each day in prayer, meditation, words and deeds.

Peace and Blessings,
Fellowships of the Spirit
