Navigating this Journey into Consciousness

Navigating these waters of life can be challenging at times. Some days, everything is awesome and life is good. Other days, we may feel like we are treading water and barely staying afloat. This journey into consciousness reminds us that everyone is having their own human life experience.

Subsequently, we are typically at different places on this journey. Metaphysically speaking, some people are just now “waking up,” and some have been “awake” for a while. New relationships, relationships ending, birth, death, and career transitions tend to be milestones that mark our journey.

Our guides continually remind us to meet people where they are rather than feeling everyone already knows what we want/need, that our way is the only way, and so on. Everyone experiences life in different ways, is immersed and sometimes enmeshed in their own reality, has their own perception, level of awareness, way of receiving information, among others.

Remember, your soul is already awake. It is your human-ness that is waking up and connecting to the knowing-ness of your soul. The “waking up” process is an on-going process of consciousness and awareness.

Strengthening your relationship with Spirit involves heightening your awareness and taking note of everyone and everything that comes into your awareness. Don’t be obsessive. Rather, begin to acknowledge what you experience through your senses as you focus your energy in the present moment. Pay attention to what you see, hear, feel and know. Doing so will become easier with practice.

Many times, we are all too hard on ourselves. We are strong enough to endure this human life experience, and we need to be reminded of this periodically. It is essential that we have as much compassion for ourselves as we so often extend to others. In other words, we need to be easier on ourselves and much kinder.

According to Science, everything is made up of energy; it is the building block of all matter. Everything in this Universe is made up of the same stuff. It´s just present in different forms and shapes. Our physical bodies are also made up of energy. This includes our thoughts, words, actions and emotions. This energetic emission, which includes our self-talk and the other thoughts running through our mind, is similar to a radio transmission.

Therefore, it is necessary to become aware of these energetic emissions as we are essentially walking vibrations. Like a radio station, the frequency we vibrate at is what we broadcast out to the world around us. Our emotions affect our physical bodies. If we are vibrating with fear, stress or lack of trust, the energy is being focused in a lower vibrational way and resisting flow.

Lower or heavier vibrations are vibrations that stem from reaction to an outside source. They are the frequencies of fear, which include worry, doubt, lack, depression, anger, hatred, apathy, jealousy and despair as well as many other emotions. Higher vibrations are powerful and tend to feel good. High vibrations are easy to identify, since they are heart-centered, light, bright, playful, loving, grateful, peaceful and giving as well as many others.

Consciously or subconsciously, we make a choice to live in lower or higher vibrations. Lower vibrations create more reactionary choices: retaliation, judgment and self-abuse. Higher vibrations move us into the choice of creation instead of reaction: understanding, acceptance and self-love.

Self-love is the foundation on which we build a happy life. Without self-love, we have nowhere to put the love or abundance that comes to us.

Take a moment to consider these questions: How do you view yourself? What does your self-talk sound like? Is it negative/critical or positive/life-affirming?

Acknowledge and then banish the negative self-talk, which is often detrimental to your psyche, well-being and over all physical health. Then, choose to re-direct the energy emission to one of self-love, compassion and kindness.

Be kind to yourself as well as to those around you. Everyone is experiencing life in their own way and has their own reality.

5 Ways to Raise Your Vibration Every Day

Have you ever felt too tired to do the things you WANT to do (as well as those things you HAVE to do)? Have you found yourself trying to come up with creative solutions to a problem, but instead, feel like you are circulating in the high-spin cycle of a washing machine with no end in sight? If so, you’re not alone, but what can you do in those circumstances? In the wise words of Dr. Suess, “un-slumping yourself is not easily done.”

That is why it is so important to know what you can do on a regular basis – every day – to raise your vibration. You know when your vibration is low when you feel hopeless, fearful, angry, depressed, or just “out of it”.  And you also likely know when you are operating on higher vibration when you feel uplifted, “in-tune” with others and your surroundings, aware, and fully present.

As a student of Fellowships of the Spirit’s School of Healing and Prophecy, I know first-hand the importance of keeping my energy in a place that best allows me to serve others and maintain my own physical and spiritual health. It is vital to operate on this higher vibration in order to offer spiritual and energy healing to others, conduct accurate readings, and make heart-to-heart connections with those around you. Raising your vibration will also help you be creative at work, home, and with your interactions with friends, family and all those you connect with throughout your day.

Here are just five ideas for how you can raise your vibration:

1) Fresh Air: This is a plentiful low-cost therapy, close to your home, and available every day. I recently saw a storefront that advertised an oxygen bar, just after I had been hiking in a wooded path for over an hour. During the walk, I thanked the trees for taking all the carbon dioxide I exhaled (and I do lots of exhaling going uphill!) and converting that gas into the oxygen that sustains and energizes me. Walking, biking, gardening or just deep breathing outdoors will help oxygenate your cells and raise your vibration!

2) Appreciation: So much has been written in recent years about the importance of gratitude for our mental and emotional well-being. I was inspired recently when watching the 2018 documentary about Fred Rogers (creator of Mister Rodgers), “Won’t You Be My Neighbor”. At a 2002 Dartmouth college graduation speech, Fred Rogers asked everyone in the audience to take a silent minute to think about those who have helped you become who you are today, whether they are living or in spirit. The expressions on the students’ faces reflected pure gratitude, joy, smiles and…increased vibration. Try it now!

3) Service to Others:  Quite simply, service to others is the key to happiness. Every time you reach out to help someone else, you become more unified with your true nature that is love. When you give from your highest and best self, you receive love. And the result of this love, is that your vibration attains a higher frequency.

4) Exercise: While all exercise may be beneficial, physical exercise that is specifically designed to move energy, can be a great way to raise your vibration. These include Qigong, Yoga, and Tai Chi – with courses, books, and videos available at Fellowships of the Spirit, online, and in many communities.

5) Meditation: As a topic that could (and has) filled volumes, meditation is a profound practice with multiple benefits that include physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual upliftment. There are many ways to meditate ranging from years spent studying Transcendental Meditation to downloading a meditation app on your electronic device for 5-minute sessions.
